The biggest zeppelin in the world stops in Milwaukee

WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE— It's the Farmer's airship, the largest passenger airship in the world. Fifteen feet longer than a Boeing 747 and fifty feet longer than the world's largest blimp. Two hundred and forty-six feet in length, three thousand cubic feet of helium lifting gas lets the zeppelin take off thousands of feet into air. But unlike a blimp, it's a semi ridged airship.
Forty-five minute rides were given over the Milwaukee area, part of a six month, twenty-four city historic tour.
The zeppelin has a partial structure inside on which it can mount major components, engines tail engines, fuel engine tanks, it gets them up and away from the condola which makes it a much quieter ride. Like flying along the city skyline or seeing the roof open at Miller Park, the cabin is not pressurized, so you can open a window if you'd like.
The Farmer’s airship will be in Oshkosh for the EAA Air Venture Show on July 22nd through the 31st.
