Protection of the Constitution to identify hackers

After the hacker attacks on the websites of the SPÖ and FPÖ on Friday the police investigation has begun. Involved were the Federal Agency for State Protection and Counter Terrorism and the Federal Criminal Office. The SPÖ- side was so badly damaged that some reprogramming was necessary. The Freedom Party, stressed that the security system had not been overcome.

When the SPÖ could not say on Friday morning, when the site would go online. The programming on their own server had been damaged by the attack, it would have to be re-programmed parts, according to a spokesman. Even users of data were captured, but this should at least were not out of date. How sensitive are these data, the spokesman could not say.
According to the Interior Ministry authorities have already made contact with the two parties concerned. Whether we are dealing with the perpetrators to hackers from Austria, a spokesman could not say yet. When the contact was confirmed by the SPÖ. Draw now considering all legal options and will do everything to ensure data security.
Less serious, the FPÖ would have escaped. While it was come to try to cripple the server capacity of the Freedom Party, leading to temporary non- accessibility has led the side. Could overcome one of the security system or hacking of the content but in contrast to the SPO website be no question, said FPÖ General Secretary Kickl. The Freedom Party will bring charges against still unknown.
The internet appearances of the ÖVP, Greens and BZÖ were not attacked during the night apparently. Attempts have been there in the past, but again, it was said to APA request.
