Paris celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight by holding an official function at the Palace of Discovery April 4.
The celebrations involved Russian cosmonauts and French astronauts, top managers of Russia’s Federal Space Agency, the European Space Agency, the French National Center for Space Research, as well as diplomats and journalists.
