15 000 Kenyans are now homeless
After a major fire in a slum in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, more than 15,000 people are homeless. As the newspaper Daily Nation reported on Tuesday, two children died in the flames. The fire was probably caused by an exploding gas cylinder was thrown.
In the narrow shanty town, the flames spread with great speed. The unloading, however, were slow because the helpers had little access to sources of fire and fled, the residents of the slums in a panic.
