Whacky designs at the Moscow Festival of Unusual Flying Objects
The Ulyanovsk-based team, Illusion of Flight, set a new record in Russia for the longest over-water flight in a homemade flying machine during the Festival of Unusual Flying Objects in Moscow on August 7.
Spectators were delighted by these imaginative flying contraptions, like the Brezhnev face with huge eyebrows for wings, the flying meat grinder, the giant mosquito, and the bright red crawfish. The crawfish won first prize.
