Millions Seized at Mexico Airport

Customs officials made a fortuitous discovery at Mexico City's international airport Friday–over two million dollars in smuggled U.S. cash.

The bills were rolled up and hidden inside the plastic and metal casing of telephone cables.

Sniffer dogs made the find after discrepancies in processing the paperwork for the shipment tipped
police off.

In all, two million four hundred thousand dollars was concealed.

The final destination for the shipment was somewhere in Venezuela.

A new whistle blower program in Mexico aims to reward those who help police by giving them a portion of the takings from money laundering schemes.
