When you stumble out of the bar tonight, and you see a throng of naked cyclists passing you, don’t be alarmed. Your drunken state isn’t impairing your perception or playing tricks. Tonight is Chicago’s annual Naked Bike Ride.
The worldwide event is going into its eighth year in Chicago. The ride does not demand entire nudity. Some riders prefer costumes and body paint, while others lead the charge commando.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel has been dealing with flash mobs lately. We’ll see how he deals with mobs just interested in flashing. Former Mayor Daley and the Chicago Police Department have been very gracious to the riders in the past, securing areas and ensuring the safety and comfort of the public.

Randolph after 6 p.m. Riders will embark around 8 p.m. along their route, which includes a ride down the magnificent mile and possibly heading up to Wrigley Field after 10 p.m.
