Formula 1: Vettel is a record-Mansell

Sebastian Vettel stunned Formula 1 world once again. The Saisondominator decided on Saturday and qualifying for the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi itself. 


It McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton had been considered a slight favorite. For Vettel, it is the 14th Pole position of the current season. The Red Bull driver set that is already a race before the end of one of Nigel Mansell's record from 1992.

Vettel did it once more, at the crucial moment, an extraordinary round to pop onto the asphalt. Virtually at the last second in the 24-year-old placed in front of Hamilton and his team-mate Jenson Button, who had previously set the tone at the weekend. In fact, Vettel could surpass the record Mansell at the finals in two weeks in Brazil even. The German does not make too much out of records, however. Instead, he has in his twelfth season in Abu Dhabi victory visor.

Hamilton: 

"I can not have more to get"

Both previous Grand Prix in the United Arab Emirates won Vettel, made perfect in the last year in a thrilling finale also his first world title. The final qualification phase was a duel with Hamilton, who had previously dominated the free training and the first two stages of qualifying.
