Woman  arrested

after strolling through lumber store... in the nude

Born free: Barbara Lafleur, of Saratoga Springs,
New York, strolls into Curtis Lumber shop on Tuesday -
to the shock of employees and customers

A 49-year-old woman could face 90 days in jail after strolling through a lumber store with no clothes on.
Barbara Lefleur, of Saratoga Springs, New York, no doubt shocked customers as she traipsed through the aisles and told an employee to 'have a good day' and asked for the time on Tuesday.
LeFleur has brushed off the incident, however, insisting it is her right to walk freely in the nude as a form of 'self-expression'.

A photo of the incident at Curtis Lumber, obtained by TimesUnion.com, was shared on Facebook later in the day and instantly swept the web.
Though the muzzing in the photo covers her genitals so much that it almost appears that she is clothed, she chose to go truly bare when she went to stroll around the lumber store.
Police received a call after the woman was seen again in the nude at nearby Stewart's Shop along Route 67, where she was approached by a manager who asked if she was aware she was naked.
But by the time police came to arrest her, she already had clothes on.
Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said LeFleur is charged with misdemeanor public lewdness.
Murphy said in a statement: 'While the defendant claimed she was merely expressing her freedom to be fully liberated by walking nude into Stewart's and Curtis Lumber, this alleged conduct is actually a crime under the penal law.'
He added: 'Surprisingly, mental health found no psychiatric issues whatsoever.'
According to her LinkedIn profile, Lefleur is a longtime content product manager at Delmar Cengage Learning, where she helps 'shepherd projects through the production process'.
In addition to her more formal employment, she is also a licensed massage therapist and singer-songwriter.
While her act of exhibitionism on Tuesday may have been across some
perform at area open mike nights.
In keeping with her free spirit attitude, she writes on her profile that her goal is 'to enjoy life fully by maximizing my potential in all areas of interest and expertise'.
Lefleur was released pending a future court appearance in Ballston Spa, Times Union reports.
